OKX Europe Acquires MiFID II-Licensed Company in Malta 1. OKX Europe acquired a Malta-licensed firm with a MiFID II license to expand regulated derivatives offerings in Europe. 2. The entity will become operational after approval from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). 3. The MiFID II license allows OKX to offer regulated derivatives to institutional clients in the European Economic Area. 4. OKX, the third-largest exchange in the EU by market cap, previously secured a Markets in Crypto Assets license from Malta in January. 5. The move strengthens OKX’s regulatory foothold in the European crypto derivatives market.
