Had a cool conversation with friends this weekend about Marshall McLuhan; “the Medium is the Message”

What is the “Message” of crypto? Is it the currency of the Noosphere?Bowie’s alien life form? The “Message” is not BTC, ETH, etc. those are all Mediums.

…And what about content coins? The Message is not the content, the Message is the coin somehow.

How might we apply McLuhan’s Tetrad of Media effects to Content Coins?

The tetrad poses four questions about any medium or technology:
	1.	What does it enhance?
	2.	What does it obsolesce?
	3.	What does it retrieve from the past?
	4.	What does it reverse into when pushed to the extreme?
