software design is bottlenecked by weak social infrastructure for learning a lot of the best designs are unintuitive, take time to master, and are therefore not developed, because they cannot attract users as our infra for learning improves, our tools can improve

The writing of chatGPT makes me feel dead inside. This is, I think, because the way it approaches writing is the inverse of how good writers do it. GPT writes by trying to predict the most likely next word. Good writers do the same to figure out what to write.

Found my great grandparents bankbook: every year, they would set aside a chunk of their savings to pay for their funerals. When they died, inflation had made sure they could pay for the coffee.
