What is Web 3.0? The Development of Web 3.0

Web 3.0 represents a new stage in the evolution of the internet, built upon the current Web 2.0 infrastructure. It aims to reshape the existing online landscape by introducing a new paradigm that breaks the monopolies held by internet giants and protects the rights and interests of every internet user.

The Web 3.0 technology stack can be divided into three layers: the protocol layer, the application layer, and the foundational network layer.

From an application perspective, Web 3.0 covers a broad range of areas, including DAOs (and DAO tools), privacy, applications, storage and data, gaming, creator economy platforms, and social networks, essentially encompassing most of the domains currently dominated by Web 2.0.
