I'd also push back on the level of significant ask. I'd say maybe it could accommodate 10-15 more persons, but the majority of the budget going to local food and bev seems like an absolute win to encourage new interest from non crypto natives. This would be the second time this restaurant group specifically, has put trust in a crypto based entity. Their Pizza spot, Redeemer, was where The Park hosted the Newsstand x Flower Shop last year during ETH DENVER.

I'm not mentioned in the prop, but am using this as a catalyst for going, so hope to see you there! Might have to bring some flowers too...

People with a say in any DAO need to stand for something. If you are potentially the deciding factor for a proposal descision, but choose to abstain...why should we even participate in something you're a part of?

It's also worth recognizing that while the vote is neck and neck, there are only two people against this happening vs those in favor. This is exactly the dynamic worth discussing in an arena as such. Cc: @builder-dao

Please consider voting on the recent ETHDENVER prop via @thepark. It's important for all of us to meet & discuss how we can proliferate each other...while also supporting the local Denver economy through crypto. https://nouns.build/dao/base/0xe8af882f2f5c79580230710ac0e2344070099432/vote/35?tab=votes

I'd expect auctions to match market sentiment, so not surprised about reduction of new DAO members or active auctions.

I'm interested in seeing whether DAOs were more or less active as a result. One of the major selling points I remember was cheaper tx fees for submitting props / voting and ease of "building" onchain, but struggling to find examples of increased tx volume/participation.

Has anyone done a deep dive or follow-up on the effects of ETH L1 to L2 DAO migrations? Would love to see an honest account of how it has helped/hindered project momentum from some of the more active DAOs and see if there isn't a way to try and run back some of the enthusiasm that was present pre-migration.

I too, was brought here on that promise...and it isn't moving the needle forward. Now, those who found success here just use it as leverage to get traditional funding or have simply moved on. "Onchain" as a marketing term has also destroyed our understanding of why Web3 (read-write-own) was special in the first place.

I love the ambition and intention of building with lasting impact. The problem I see in the space currently is that we are so protective of fictional runways that there is no space for innovation. We need to redefine our understanding of what a "lasting" project looks like. Forever is a long time..

Chasing "forever" is a fool's errand in crypto. Live for today. Spend the capital. Activate your users. Make the LEGACY be what lasts FOREVER. We are all going to die anyways. Happy Valentines Day 🌹
