There's no need to be so pessimistic. Ether is now an integrated L1+L2 ecosystem, and the actual reason why it looks like Ether's Gas is low is simply that a lot of transactions are moving from Layer 1 to Layer 2. The number of active addresses and the number of transfers in the second layer based on Ether have been at new highs, which means that the total number of active people and transactions in the whole Ether series have been at new highs. Gone are the days of assessing the dynamism of the Ether ecosystem by looking only at its Layer 1 data.
