community is found on fc by actively seeking out what others are saying and sharing instead of only trying to get ppl to see what we have to say and share sounds too obvious, but the reality is most social apps are built on broadcasting and passive consumption, fc is built on connection and active collaboration π±β

Seems as of late it's more on community that only agrees that's championed. It's turned into lil echo chambers for certain figures which is what I was running away from Twitter. I still love it because it's web3 native and the best option right now but have recently been put off a tad by it and the 24/7 online culture it promotes.

Discussion with opposing views is often labeled as disagreement or hate in web3 (esp in X) so no. I'd rather have a healthy discussion even if we disagree with each other. This is how we grow, not just clapping for the same things regardless of their impact. It started with degen and ofc now moxie where folks are used for engagement to earn and a great deal is not honest, they are looking for a handout. I love both tokens for what they stand and how they have helped (myself and others) but the negative effects has to be realized as well. So most interactions based on questioning these practices often seems one-sided or hateful since it doesn't fit into the positivity above all narrative.

ahhh i see what youβre saying, agreeing with various opinions as a means to earn - can see this, but i also see many ppl on here who will voice whatever they think regardless of that

one of the big benefits of this is in the creative community (much different than discourse about a topic) - is that sometimes it leaves creatives feeling supported to keep going, which can lead to greatness for someone who may have never tried

Funny you say that because a lot of us (in GC's) feel that less people care about art here and more about building and developers but I can totally see how others can see this from the outside looking in as a non-creator.
