a few thoughts while out for a morning stroll

crypto is gonna win bc there is incentive by the vast majority of ppl to use it

a lot of ppl own crypto but still think of it just as an investment - this won’t always be the case

killer apps are being built rn - farcaster being a prime example of what’s possible when u combine ownership x social x open building/creating, reality is we’re still in the first inning of what crypto’s end state looks like - the best glimpses of this future are happening right here

so on down days/weeks/months in the market, only advice would be to think about *why* we’re here and what keeps us coming back - i promise u the best ppl in this space aren’t flinching, long game 🌱

i think ppl have a basic fundamental incentive to own things fully (including assets and identity), and to move value without a intermediary dictating what they move, when, to who, etc. i also think there is incentive to increase liquidity across new markets, like what we are seeing on polymarket

i think the first two things that will break the larger investment narrative are consumer payments (global), and the farcaster app layer / economy growing

overall i see farcaster as by far the most interesting place in terms of connecting pieces of the onchain stack - rewards, wallet, ownership of FID, potential for ownership of channels, v2 frames with onchain connectivity like ponder, zk verified anon posting, etc - imo we are just now starting to see what's possible and it's going to be difficult to predict how it continues to evolve - just like how we wouldn't have been able to predict everything on fc from the last yr

the two outside of here i'm most interested in rn are rodeo and polymarket

I'm all for optimism, but one thing this space can use more of is specific examples in addition to ra-ra statements.
