There is definitely such a thing as "twitter brain" (or "X brain" if you prefer) and I bet the phenomenon has gotten worse in the last year since this study was done. "Results revealed that Twitter use is related to decreases in well-being, and increases in political polarization, outrage, and sense of belonging over the course of the following 30 minutes."
