I'll leave a story from the only road trip I did without a camera because I wanted to experience it to the fullest.

While travelling through NZ I drove a 1980 bright yellow Toyota Corolla wagon, often did free camping and when I did spend the night on a campground, always tried to watch The Simpsons...(read on 👇 )

Sat down in the comfy seat, dark outside, a dimmed light illuminating the shed. TV set flickering...mid way through the show I sense something next to me...I slowly turn my head to the right and to my surprise there was a possum on his back feet, watching the Simpsons with me. 👇

At a certain point the possum also looked at me but then turned his head back to the show...we sat there in silence (except for Marge's voice).
After a short while the possum lost interest and left...
That was probably one of my most memorable moments. (besides the incredible scenery)

...on one of the campgrounds I was the only 'guest' and the owners weren't there either. They left a note saying where I could find everything.
There was this old shed where they had a tv set and a comfy one person sofa. After cooking dinner and an evening walk it was time for The Simpsons...👇
