1/2 On diversifying as an artist. The first two years in the NFT space I mainly stuck to Eth chain and mainly did 1/1's It worked, kind of. As someone who has been dedicating a lot of time to being present and supportive, the financial return wasn't at all up to the hours I put in. Luckily the community return largely made up for that. However this does not pay the bills. So the last year I started exploring other chains, L2's, new social media platforms and market places. This diversification has payed of a little bit (mainly thanks to some tipping incentives like Degen, Enjoy and SR).

2/2 I also use the free to mint platforms all in different ways as well: @zora mainly for having fun and some community backed projects. If you're lucky one of your 'posts gets traction and you can earn a decent amount. On @rodeodotclub I try to post daily and have done three 'series', the last one ongoing. I like working in series, it's like building a collection but over a longer period of time. I've recently been added to the @remx artist roster and my strategy there is to have some sort of travel notebook/journal so yet again a different kind of approach. All these platforms come with their own set of rules and fans and are easy to navigate + you'll discover and connect with a lot of new artists (and you'll spend most of what you earn 😂). Sometimes it's hard to keep up and be present every day. It's part of the job but can be exhausting. Love to hear your strategy for paying the bills using your art in Web3.0

Diversification has been something I hold close to me - it's a way for me not to have all my eggs in one basket. I've had average success in selling, nothing crazy but not destitute in the sales overall. What really has changed things up is the diversification of web3 platforms - spending more time here on FC, minting to Rodeo/Remx. I have a full-time job that luckily takes care of most of my bills, but I struggle with a mountain of debt (thanks to me being a dummy 20 some odd years ago). I haven't been able to sustain the way I need to, but my earnings here have mostly gone into buying other art since I can't stay away from collecting. On Remx I've passed most my tips on to other artists and just keeping earnings from the sponsored drop (make sure to utilize this - you can drop more than once this way, just not back to back months). I keep telling myself that I will keep minting my work as I see fit, creating collections and they will be available once I have some demand.

I was just thinking about this very thing. Nice to hear your thoughts here Erik. Its quite interesting that within 2024, the acceleration has increased by quite a lot. Its common in my daily degen zone to switch multiple chains, wallets, market places, etc..all within minutes. Now that we have learned this, lets make 2025 all about EARNING THIS!
