This morning, I woke up feeling like I was getting sick and asked to work from home. Iā€™m really against people coming to the office while sick and spreading it to their colleagues. But at the same time, I feel this strange guilt because itā€™s "just my throat" and "a headache." And if I take sick leave, I almost feel relieved when my temperature starts to go up, as if itā€™s proof Iā€™m not faking it. So here I am at home, monitoring my symptoms - but hey, at least I can took a selfie between calls!

I totally understand that feeling. It's tough when you're not feeling 100%, but it's still "just" something minor like a throat issue or headache, and you start questioning whether it's enough to justify taking the day off. Itā€™s so considerate of you to stay home and not risk spreading anything to your colleagues. Your health is the priority, and sometimes itā€™s okay to take a step back, even if itā€™s just to rest and recover, even if it feels a bit guilty at first.
