Ash Dough or Ayran Ashi in Turkish is one of the traditional foods of Ardabil province. Ash dogh is also cooked in different ways in some regions such as: Tabriz, Urmia, Zanjan, Lorestan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Mazandaran, Gilan, Mazandaran, Isfahan, Hamedan, Shiraz, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Karaj and Qazvin.
