Is this standard now? My son is a senior and has 3 unexcused absences, so the school sends this letter. Says if he misses more unexcused: Children & Youth Services (CYS) may be called, his license can be suspended, $300 fine may be issued, a court hearing will be scheduled, and community service is possible.
