Back in pre-1.0 days of node there was a vision of a future.

What happened in the intervening decade has been awesome - but none of it really made good on the early vision.  And now, "node is NOT simple" ... not even remotely.  And it's not simple for the "dumb things" that one should not have to even know or care about, let alone babysit daily.

I'm so happy Ryan Dahl has re-applied his formidable sense of style and taste to the problem, and then mobilised a sustained and serious engineering effort to kick this thing back into play.

Deno 2.0 released today. 
(6 years to get it here, not a flash in the pan, this one's real.)

Used them both. Deno in my tests run actually faster than Bun. Not sure where’s all that perf hype about Bun coming from
