The Fury Book · 2024 · ★★½☆☆ This might be the lowest rating I ever gave a book… Not to sound too brutal, but this author wrote a mind blowing plotted book (the Silent Patient), and is hopelessly attempting to re-create it, in vain. It is very obvious from the start, that the author is trying to outsmart us, it shows from the way the character is speaking to us. No, this is not sneaky, it is just sad. It felt like the author was randomly adding plots in attempts to create one big surprising plot. And honestly? I didn’t get it. It’s very disappointing to see a good author getting worse, and instead of creating a new idea, trying to re-create the same idea in different fonts.
