It may seem convenient to have a fallback option, and the reasoning behind the vulnerabilities is understandable. However, the reality is that Optimism's permissionless fraud proofs were disabled on the OP Mainnet just two months after going live. The engineering reality doesn't align with the marketing claims, which can be misleading for non-technical users.
