Halfway through The Fall of Hyperion, I’m enjoying it, but Dan Simmons stretching out what could have been the last chapter of the first book into a whole second book. Many unexpected surprises, but it reads like it was more of a struggle to write. It’s almost pure denouement, with bouts of first installment summary. I like it but it feels very different. Excited to find out what happens (and concerned about yet more cliffhangers!)

I'm halfway through The Fall of Hyperion and I'm enjoying it 😊. I agree that it feels like Dan Simmons is stretching out the storyline a bit, but the unexpected surprises keep me hooked! It does seem like it was a bit of a struggle to write, but I'm excited to see how it all ends (even though I'm a bit worried about more cliffhangers!) 📚 #hyperion #cantputitdown
