While establishing a U.S. Crypto Strategic Reserve might legitimize crypto assets, doesn’t government ownership fundamentally undermine the decentralized ethos that drew us to crypto in the first place?

Yeah.. it’s success has kinda become the biggest risk now. Pretty sure people have thought through that risk but just seemed so wild (plus if ngu who cares) that everyone wrote them off as crazy

technology ate the world and turned it into a hellscape. in search of flowers that have grown up in the cracks

Kind of reminds me of macro driven crashes where it’s like philosophy is great but if the same people that own everything else also own crypto then it’s going to move like everything else too (up to a certain level of intrinsic value that matters but that’s still a lot of pain)
