Cinema Paradiso

Krzysztof Kieślowski’s Dekalog (1989) is widely considered one of the greatest series ever made and Kieślowski’s greatest cinematic achievement. 

It’s really a collection of ten 16mm films all working towards a unified theme.

oh yess, Come and See is an outstanding film, beautiful in its own way and quite shocking.

It is not directly about the same thing, but we are talking about Eastern European cinema, and I cannot fail to mention such an unprecedented masterpiece as Elem Klimov's "Come and See."

You brought it to my mind immediately just by looking at this picture.
