taste seems more scarce these days, and increasingly differentiating in the age of AI where so much of skills-based productivity is offloaded to compute.

makes me think about the development of taste, and how we nurture taste for the next gen of humans.

depends. pg's thing about IQ vs hustle kinda applies- a person with high hustle and low IQ will probably still be rich (owns a bunch of gas stations or something). low hustle and high IQ will just be some bitter guy.

but with taste- i think one crazy guy with good taste is more likely to push humanity forward
