some thoughts on cool areas to build in regarding decentralized social/FC. many of these we are actively working on at operator.io. luckily for my health, they all converge pretty nicely.

1. reputation/ranking - on-chain reputation which immediately helps filter out bots, surface power users - subnetwork reputation (ex: Farcaster activity) which helps find quality content/people to follow. likes, recasts, watches, replies all weight differently this also helps in supercharging algorithmic feeds

2. endorsements/credentials like rep, but includes off-chain activity/trust and concrete achievements. example searches with this info: primary authors of contracts at Frax, former staff eng at Coinbase, invested in the same startups as i did, had a great conversation at EthDenver about DID, even "based in New York"

3. search - attribute search: owns x nft, part of y channels, above z followers - context search: who is into DAO infra, top casts about ZKPs. even AI channel mods! -expanded search: kind of like contextual, but understand the context inside shared links and cross it with any context in the post that shared the link

4. atomic weights/incentives kind of like impressions on twitter/h-index. can think of as a "scenius score" which is earned in different amounts (likes vs recasts vs replies). smart people are incentivized stay smart/get smarter, this increases the knowledge capital of the network, consumers come & contributors profit

5. context-aware social graph my social graph and degrees of closeness to others changes based on what we talk about. you have different friend groups for sports/gym, going out, talking tech, etc. enables context-based discovery of people who are close to you across subjects. AI could even plan your sales, fundraise
