My own sister all her life, cranky, willful, straightforward. She treats men with a slight contempt. Does not wear skirts and heels, loves herself very much and always chooses her comfort. Doesn't judge at all, good for her on the contrary. We thought she wouldn't get married, but she did. Her husband has been carrying her in his arms for 15 years, carries her around, looks at her with loving eyes, flowers, deliveries, cleaning, meets her and does everything as she wants. Loves her to bits. And I am feminine, easy going, calm, compromising. I have two divorces due to beatings and cheating... Now I think maybe I need to be like my sister?

After my divorce from my husband, I suffered and then decided that life goes on. I started getting to know men and going on dates. I like the lightness and romanticism of first dates. When you are all so beautiful and light, sit and listen to a man, not perform the role of a vest and pulling. Especially after work is so uplifting. I pull so 3-4 dates and then, when they start trying to reduce everything to bed, I move off the subject immediately....

life is good

In active addiction, or untreated addiction and untreated mental health, we are existing, barely living life. Going through the motions, moment to moment, maybe hoping for the dreadful end to come. Maybe thinking there's no end in sight. Maybe thinking life gets no better than this. 

When we start treating our addiction and our mental health, we start living. We don't just merely exist anymore. As Alcoholics Anonymous says, we don't get well just to become a glum lot. We get to do things we could not do before. We get to go on vacations. We get to enjoy going to work. We get to be a part of society once again. We become useful and whole, like never before. 

Although life might not change when we change, our perception changes. When our perception changes, everything around us changes. This has been my experience for the last almost 12 years, one day at a time. I must continue to work on my perception each and every day. Perception starts anew every day.

she got pregnant unplanned, six months before the wedding. Nevertheless, the news turned out to be joyful for both of us: we went to doctors together, bought baby things, thought of a name. In the 7th month, my husband started picking on my appearance, my diet (he couldn't watch me snack on chocolate with cucumbers). After my son was born, he ran away on a business trip for a month. When I came back, I was surprised that my son still did not stop screaming at night. He completely forgot that we scheduled the wedding for the date when the son will be six months old. No babysitting, no help around the house, the nagging hasn't stopped. Only his mom helps.

How do you feel about people who don't accept your children from another or other marriages? I met a man. I already have two children. We lived for 5 years, had two children together. It seems his parents and brothers accepted us normally, could leave the children on them all on weekends, gave gifts. As soon as we separated, they stopped accepting my children, only recognize their own. Gifts only to their own. Immediately in the eyes said, your elders are nothing to us and have nothing to bring them here ....
