This sort of stuff from Dan is exactly why I rarely use Farcaster anymore and now actively discourage others from adopting it. Whether it is “successful” or not, the founding spirit is not my vibe. Homeboy is an elitist with some fragility issues. ✌️ (Please mark my account as “double spammy” BTW idgaf)

Social media aggregators are more relevant than competing for user minutes. Bring all social media under 1 aggregator client. Hone core functionality of a DeSoc app with user-defined Web2 & Web3 social feeds. Interactions natively incentivize adoption. Social media habits form slowly and change is not rapid either.

Social media users generally desire more “feed” control and prefer determining their own diet. #DeSoc protocols & clients must adopt standards for user-defined filtration and sorting of feed content.

Let’s actually challenge the elitist tech hierarchy by building our own immutable content with a neutral follow protocol using ENS, ETH Follow Protocol, & 1w3.io. Is the best product-market-fit for DeSoc really just “sufficiently decentralized” facebook?

I was initially pretty excited about apps like Farcaster. I wrote my 2017 undergrad senior thesis on decentralized social media. But I’ve come to see all who endeavor to forge social networks as suffering from similar character flaws & personality defects which are inevitably reflected in the products they create.

I appreciate vets, but I’m concerned about our freedoms since: 1. WEF & WHO colluded to lockdown the world 2. Gov & Pharma colluded to mandate experimental injections (still gas-lighting victims) 3. Media & Gov colluded to censor dissent National sovereignty is less meaningful when civil liberties are diminished.
