I imagine being 8, or 9, or 10 and having a chat with GPT about it 😅… I think it would feel very similar to how I feel now when I ask chatGPT about complex therapy-like topics (like, grief support, toxic work environment experiences)… reassured, understood. I was working in an elementary school as a speech therapist and it was cool to see how much fun the kids have with technology. Chatrooms within popular video games, making simple youtube videos, learning to draw from youtube tutorials … most of them also really liked remote video meetings. 😌

I tried to use one of the ‘actions’ for creating a meme and none of them are working for me. The closest one was “Higher Memes”, but the text options are limited or …. can’t be edited?

this makes a lot of sense to me because I remember people analyzing or reflecting on how even googling something changed the dynamics of what is perceived as being ‘smart’ or intelligent. Like when I was younger, I had Selective Mutism (a social anxiety disorder), except I didn’t know there was a name for it … I majored in Psychology hoping to understand it, and eventually found out the name for it when volunteering for a psychology research lab, where I had access to search an online psychology research paper database. Nowadays, kids could find out the name of it either by googling or having a chat with ChatGPT.

yeah it’s always good to skim the profile first … I experienced this recently on Nostr… someone linked a youtube video, and I was liking it, but then the guy’s Nostr profile had radical conspiracy theories and misinformation. 🤢

oof. this might be one of those “time flies” things but I realized I haven’t gotten my eyes checked since before COVID, which would be early to mid 2019. Found out my left lens prescription is a little higher than it needs to be, and that might be something that contributes to ophthalmic migraines. Which I get about once a month. Well, looking forward to getting new glasses with tinted transition lenses (in grey or brown) to help with the sensitivity to light/dark contrasts. I guess it makes sense… I skipped going to the eye doctor during COVID, then the few years afterwards also.

as a new user, I’m not sure how to use these various ‘extra features’… like frames, warps, starter packs, channels. Or the wallet, which actually seems important. lol. Maybe these will become clearer with time and experience? It seems like frames might be like little games? Though they seem very simple and repetitive. If anyone wants to explain, go ahead. But I do think it’s already an interesting app just with the more basic features I’m already used to.

that sounds a tad … paradoxical 😅 … but I think I know what you mean … when it comes to my career decisions (getting a 2nd bachelors, in order to apply to graduate school). In hindsight, it sorta feels like a waste of time, but given the life context of the younger me, that was the *main* thing that made sense… and it was some learning experiences… interesting to reflect on the various phases of growing up tho! I like those types of discussions.
