Hey guys! After trying to get an appointment with the traumatologist without success, we finally got one today. The doctor examined Lil Grey and checked his broken leg. Considering his age, the doctor recommended amputating the leg because the recovery process would take only 7 to 10 days, and he would be free of pain much sooner. On the other hand, if he were to have surgery to keep his leg, it could take 2 to 3 months, and it would be a long and painful process. As you know, Lil Grey has aggressive behavior, and it would be difficult for me to give him all the care he’d need after the surgery. I just want to see him pain-free as soon as possible. He's a very strong cat and will be able to manage perfectly with three legs. Today, he had a blood test, and the results will be ready tomorrow to determine if he’s ready for the surgery.

Btw there was a sweet kitten at the vet who wanted to meet Lil Grey 🥺😻🐾.

Quick update: the blood test results are ready, and the doctor called to inform me that unfortunately, lil Grey is still anemic. It's not as severe as before, but he needs to increase his hemoglobin and red blood cell count before surgery because it could pose a risk to his recovery. Tomorrow, I have to go back to the vet for another exam to check if the mycoplasma infection is still present. In that case he will need to start taking vitamins and medication again for at least 10 days to 2 weeks. The rest of the results are perfect 🙏🏻
