The development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) remains a highly debated topic. While modern AI excels at specific tasks, it lacks human-like reasoning, adaptability, and self-awareness. Predicting AGI’s arrival is uncertain, but key challenges include abstract reasoning, knowledge generalization, self-improvement, and common sense.
Future breakthroughs may come from advanced algorithms, neurosymbolic AI, self-supervised learning, and brain-inspired computing. However, ethical and safety concerns must be addressed to ensure AGI aligns with human values.
