I’d love to know more about the process of drawing with pixels. The tools you use. I’ve always been fascinated by pixel art.

so the app I used here is Pixaki on the iPad, but the best tool for serious pixel art is Aseprite on the computer, but requires to draw with mouse or have a like a Wacom tablet. I like the iPad because I can draw anywhere and I’m way too much in front of the computer already!

Here is observational drawing, it’s just the coffee I had in front of me

I started with a black background, laid down the main outline, then using a Matrix brush aka Pattern brush aka bayer Dithering (which comes in 13 different gradients) I added some light and shadows, erasing the outline in the process

It’s really just a start for me I’m new to this! So I’m sure you can too. Tons of resources online as well
