How old were you when you took your first photograph ?

I must have been 7 or 8 years old.

Which gives me a career in photography of about 35 years.

I'm thinking I was around the same age. Long enough ago that the camera had the film cartridges, so you didn't have to pull the film over and pre-wind it yourself.

They where designed to be super user friendly.  So there wasn't a chance of exposing the role or loading it wrong etc...  You just popped it in and off you went.

wow, what did those look like? I'm familiar with winding film yourself obviously, when I started, there was no such thing as digital photography. I'm familiar with slide film for large format cameras but I only got into those when I attended the academy for photography, much later in life.
