Will repeat 1000x more times: why is the app now Warpcast but was Farcaster before? When we started, wanted to keep it simple: Farcaster for the protocol and Farcaster for the app. But now that there's a growing ecosystem of apps on the protocol, wanted to make it clear that our app, Warpcast, is one of many.

unsolicited opinion could you keep farcaster the app *and* the protocol? everyone knows this is the og dapp its confusing because most of us consumers refer to the product as farcaster & now we’ve to explain warpcast is farcaster like the app with all the hype but they’ve changed it etc builders know it’s a pro

fair, but I think it makes it harder for other apps to compete for early users, so would hurt developer adoption how many ethereum wallets would there be today if MetaMask had been the official wallet and called Ethereum Wallet?

right so that makes my argument stronger.. despite it having been a walled garden people still went and downloaded waze so the name is irrelevant
