stumbleupon referred its users to mix.com upon shutting down. Using mix (which is still live!) does recapture some of the magic of stumbleupon

But oddly, I find the dopamine hit insufficient. We need immediate dopamine hits within a fraction of a second now, and stumbling upon new ideas takes too long to do that😔
