In this world, there are no permanent friends or enemies. What remains permanent is self-interest. When an enemy turns into a friend, sometimes you can rely on them more than ordinary friends. When a friend turns into an enemy, they become far more terrifying than a regular enemy—hundreds or even thousands of times more. Never deceive someone who trusts you, not even once. Never trust someone who has deceived you before. People may owe each other money, but never owe each other kindness.
