interesting and understood! I’m a storyteller, so most of my work is based on a central story. however, I’ve recently begun to explore my identity as a trans woman in my pieces. that’s a great observation! I truthfully created the story before I had even come out, although I think you are correct in that the nature of the story is incredibly reflective of my identity and indicates the ways in which my subconscious was searching for meaning and identity. it’s quite wild how years worth of artwork can express hidden feelings and parts of our identities we are not yet aware of
