how prepared is Ethereum for the emergence of quantum computing today? feels like we are practically on the verge of an “any day now” moment where one or more nation states / corporations have a significant breakthrough also, what happens to Bitcoin?…

Would BIP39 seed phrases still be valid as blockchain moves to post-quantum encryption algorithms? Or would we need more bits of entropy?

all BIP39 seed phrases are hashed multiple times before converting to the private key, afaik quantum computers can’t break hashes as effectively as ECC
