Yeah, they have been playing with the algo, engagement is down after they nerfed some bots, and new allowance meta really seems to have discouraged a lot of heavy users. Still early days.

I’m not sure they’ll recover. Reaching the outside world is also an issue, we’re in our little bubble, and I can’t see how that could change. Still appreciate being with friends here but it’s definitely a time investment I’ll have to reconsider soon I’m afraid :(

I was feeling a lot of negativity towards the space and my engagement and some of the new metas. And when I expressed that, the small group of people that I really value here showed up for me with kind words and encouragement. And them showing up reminded me that my priorities in this space are connection and creation first and then profit. In that sense this space is still rich in opportunities to connect with interesting people. The experiment of farcast may or may not succeed in becoming a major platform, but that doesn't matter if I make connections that move beyond the site and become a part of my life. I understand your priorities are different, with a new baby and limited time you have to focus on the places that can add value to your list. I would be sad to see you go, and understand that you have to go where it makes sense for you ❤️🔥 🍖x123 33 $degen
