Inspired by the Anatolian myth of Shahmaran: 

Shahmaran, with the upper body of a woman and the lower body of a snake, lives in a cave near Tarsus. A young man discovers her and gains her wisdom and healing powers. He eventually betrays her to the king, leading to her death, but her wisdom endures, influencing his community. Shahmaran symbolizes the union of human and animal, mortality and immortality, darkness and light.
I aimed to reflect the confrontation, harmony and battle between these dualities.
