How about one where you're stuck on an alien planet and you're unable to communicate with the locals forcing yourself to learn the language by reading all the signs you pass on your way to the job that you have sweeping the streets because that's the only one they'll give to people who don't speak the language.. dang I went off in an awfully good tangent there didn't I?

Yes, yes! And The person reading did not know this until somebody tried to communicate it to them but it got lost in translation and the person thought they were being aggressive so they had to defend himself landing the person in jail..
