recipe for lasagna:
Ingredients:
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- Ground beef or sausage (optional)
- Salt, pepper, and Italian herbs
### Instructions:
1. **Preheat Oven:** Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. **Cook Noodles:** Boil lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
3. **Mix Cheese Filling:** In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and herbs.
4. **Layer Ingredients:**
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place 3 noodles on top.
- Spread half of the ricotta mixture, followed by a layer of mozzarella and some marinara sauce.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and marinara sauce on top.
5. **Add Toppings:** Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
6. **Bake:** Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
