I’d love to see posting in a channel have an advantage again. Beneficial to the poster to grow their reach and find new audience/followers. Beneficial to the reader to discover new people about topics they care for.

If the channel has a strong small "cozy corner" community — those users will visit the channel and see the content. Unfortunate reality seems to be topic based (hashtag style) channels don't seem to do that well and it generally is uninteresting categorization of content and flooded with spam forcing rendering clients (Warpcast) to apply filters. Clear examples: /farcaster and /warpcast channels. People post in these channels with the assumption that they reach 200K users with content that has nothing to do with the protocol or the client. No creator is entitled to reach by default and it is a grind on any social network. For Farcaster speicifally, what works really well over and over again for someone to increase their reach: - Reply to other users casts with genuine interesting replies adding to the conversation. - Post unique content unrelated to the common crypto box that you are really passionate about (cooking, home decor, classical music).
