ReelFarm - Progress update #13 (09-26-2024) - focusing on making the onboarding flow as friendly and simple as possible - also working on making sure the backend can handle 50-100 videos an hour i really love how the dashboard page is coming along, but i really don't like the way the components are setup on the "create video/automation" flow

Pricing: don’t be afraid to charge. Why 289 dollars per month lol? Just keep it simple, regular saas of 10-30 dollar per month type range. Whatever competitors are doing. You don’t need to overthink this. Just don’t be afraid to charge. $1.49 is peanuts.

the fake "used to be $289/month" can change, just need a high number to justify $1.50 a video and charging for usage is the best way to get the most $ from a customer, charging monthly extremely limits the user to how many videos they can create

Counterpoint: Every saas that made a monthly plan work. Take a look at captions ai or any other competitor. You can include x videos per month in a monthly plan.

Highly doubt your way is the “best way”. It’s one way. And if I had to bet it’s the suboptimal way. But one time sale business model can also work. You can experiment with pricing models and based on the metrics choose the one that works best. I’ve made some pretty big changes myself recently.
