Bitcoin maxis follow the Bitcoin religion. You may not like religion. But it’s an extremely powerful force.

Eth doesn’t have maxis like btc has.
If you want to convince someone to do something then ideology is the most powerful way to do that. And btc has that going for it more than eth.

People give their life for religion. Thats how powerful it is.

I would love to see eth flip btc one day. I think it’s objectively better technology. But it may never happen. Better tech isn’t guaranteed to win.
