Devs. Why do you use Supabase? Just seems not needed. Only project I use it for is because of the real time support.

absolute insanity and I will never understand it.... The latest explosion is due to bolt/lovable pushing it in their apps... but still. I once saw a tweet guy who was like "my favorite stack" and mentioned supabase, vercel etc... typical threadboi nonsense, I asked him how he handled the fact that supabase API didn't handle transactions and he asked me what a transaction is. I think that there's a category of "not quite a dev, but larping as one" which is the ICP for this company.

Oh my goodness. This may explain a whole class of bugs I have in that product. That I assume I have some code in transactions and you’re telling me it doesn’t do anything 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ I love Vercel. I’m less tied to it than Supabase.

But I read some huge percentage of yc startups use Supabase these days which I just don’t get.
