Today, Bulgaria and Romania join the Schengen family; expanding even further the largest area of free movement in the world

Checks are lifted on air and sea checks, with land to come

I have friends from Bulgaria and Romania who work and live in Europe for whom this development is of great importance

I'm going to miss the days Bulgaria felt like an outpost of the European Union... own national currency, tight border controls. Now every travelgoer will be able to access its pristine Black Sea beaches before proving their worth to do so...

And yes, that is a strip of beach cinched between a freshwater river delta and the salty sea. 

Yes, it's location is a secret.

On that note the good news is it will take some years for people to realize how Bulgaria is awesome :)
