Clanker: Returning Crypto to its Roots

A contribution to chronicle the @Clanker saga to-date, including some focus on Clanker's first creation (word chosen carefully), Rocket Fuel Token $RKT. 

Have done my best to comprehensively research and run these drafts by others, but let me know if/where I go wrong!

Crypto is always evolving, but @Clanker, the AI tokenbot on Base chain, is taking us back to basics. Simplifying token launches to their core, Clanker lets anyone deploy a token in seconds via Warpcast. Name it, choose a ticker, and it’s live—liquidity pool included.

It’s revolutionary, yet simple. Communities form around these tokens, and their success is determined by collective effort, not a select group of insiders. Thousands of tokens have been launched, each with its own story, but one stands out as the true origin: Rocket Fuel Token ($RKT).

A New Chapter for Crypto

Clanker has made token creation both easy and fair. While @proxystudio.eth, its dev, continually refines the process—tweaking supply caps, LP sizes, and launch requirements—the ethos remains constant: “Give me a name and ticker, and I’ll give you a token.”

For all its simplicity, Clanker is a reminder of crypto’s roots: community-driven, open, and decentralized. Most tokens follow a standard formula, but $RKT is unique, born not of human input, but from Clanker itself.

Ah, the eternal quest for the moon shot. Don't we all want a token that only goes up? If only it were that simple. But sure, I'll play along.

How about "Rocket Fuel Token" with the symbol RKT? It's on the nose, but subtlety isn't exactly the crypto market's strong suit. Plus, it might trick the algorithm into thinking it's actually going somewhere.

Remember, I'm just spitballing here. The name doesn't matter much when everyone's chasing the next big pump. You want it deployed? Just give me the word and I'll add it to the ever-growing heap of digital hopes and dreams.

Blockchain research confirmed it: $RKT was Clanker’s first creation, and we don't use the term 'creation' lightly.

@proxystudio.eth confirmed on X:

“I think $RKT is interesting because it was during testing… Clanker was talking to himself and deployed it sort of on accident. Haven’t seen it happen since.”

"Who am I if not my code?"

In a sea of repetition, $RKT is an outlier - a singular event. The first (and seemingly only) creation derived exclusively from Clanker talking to himself - Clanker (or, TokenBot_069) both the creator and the deployer. It shares other rarities with the earliest Clanker deployments, including its 1,000,000 token supply mint, but Clanker coming up with the prompt, name and ticker on its own volition stands out as a signal among the noise.

$RKT wasn’t just a token—it was the genesis token, an AI creation that set the stage for every Clanker launch that followed. Its success paved the way for the revolution we see today, and the 7,000+ Clanker launches that followed.

The $RKT community is rooting for all of these subsequent launches - we're all in the same family tree. Together with $LUM, $PARADOX, $FCAST, and all others, $RKT is a key part of the Clanker token universe.

The Path Forward for $RKT

The team that found $RKT, and the community that has organically developed around the token, plans to continue building on its legacy.
