One of Verostko’s masterpieces is the “Hodos” program. This drawing/painting software fuses randomness and structure to create one-of-a-kind algorithmic art. “Hodos” means “path” or “road” in Greek—apt for his adventurous journey.

Picture this: Verostko rigging a Chinese brush to a pen plotter. This genius move brought lush, expressive strokes to life, blending mechanical precision with human emotion.

But Verostko wasn’t "just" an artist; he was a brilliant thinker. He coined “Epigenetic Painting,” seeing the computer as a boundless tool for discovery, forever stretching the boundaries of art.

He co-founded the Algorists, a group of artists who believed in the magic of custom algorithms to create unique styles. This collective was all about pushing the envelope
