Just realized I'm only a few months away from the 25th anniversary of my quit-smoking date (July 2, 2000).

Quitting cigarettes was the hardest thing I'd done at the time, so for many years I celebrated each anniversary. 

But now I'm so far removed from it and so comfortable as a non-smoker that it doesn't even feel important.

Kudos to you too! At the peak of my prior addiction I was smoking about a pack a day. Yikes.

In my younger years I once did a video interview for the media while chain-smoking. It was recorded during a time when VCRs were fairly expensive, and people could still smoke indoors in many places. 

I think if I watched that interview now, I'd just cringe at my "rebellious" younger self, so I'll probably let it stay buried on the VHS tape forever... lol.
