Pretty sure somebody said something along these lines before already but i think most low follower accounts can rise fairly quickly (i.e. to top 100 casters if that’s the metric you’re going for) by casting more long-form. 

The reality is that WC algo rewards Merkle’s taste (they’ve been vocal/intentional/opinionated about this) and thoughtful long-form is a way to stand out amongst the crowd in line with that taste and also get people’s attention, bootstrap a following, etc.

The network (not just Merkle) likes thoughtful long-form casts.

1000 characters is a lot of room to be interesting.

That seems like common sense

People tend to put more thought into longer form content, and more thoughtful content tends to be higher quality content

Seems more odd to me that folks wouldn't naturally understand this
