Janet Bates - a very well-accomplished woman in construction. 
Before the museum exhibition, this portrait was selected for another museum show. It was the first I finished in the project - a total of 40 portraits 
(plus mine and a final conversational piece)

I photographed her before painting. We went to one of the construction sites she managed. She chose a polka-dot dress, and I love the contrast!
I added glitter to the dress so it sparkles.
