Took a trip out to Washougal, WA this morning to find and cut a Christmas tree, then spent the afternoon hanging lights on the house.

I always have to remind myself that the trees look smaller outside than inside. There were a couple years I ended up with some fatties. This one was perfect for the space we have.

The saddest part is tossing them after Christmas. Lol, I’m sentimental about trees.

That’s pretty cool. The city would take trees and make them into mulch, but the sight of the tree kicked to the curb was sad. I’m weird.

I used to get a “living tree”, which was basically a big potted tree that the company would deliver and pick up (and later plant), but they went out of business. Now we cut our own, and when we’re done, we cut it up and compost it to try to minimize our impact.
