EigenLayer is a restaking protocol on Ethereum that allows users to deposit and re-stake $ETH from various liquid staking tokens, aiming to allocate those funds to secure third-party networks. Previously, it has raised $164.5M in three funding rounds backed by a16z, Coinbase Ventures, Polychain Capital and others.

TVL's jump came after EigenLayer Mainnet had launched on April 9th, allowing actively validated services to come online. Previously, EigenLayer introduced 6 new AVS including AltLayer, Brevis, Eoracle, Lagrange, WitnessChain, and Xterio. 2/
